Worst possible experience with a terrible company. 2 No call No shows, 2 promises for supervisor call, 0 follow thru or delivery of services. And no recourse to make things right with the customer.
Scheduled an appointment for Friday between 8am-12pm. Dispatch (Michael) called me at 11:30am saying that they received “more important and vital” calls for service that morning and asked if I could re-schedule. I told them that my kitchen sink overflowing was an emergency and that I needed to keep the appointment. He told me they couldn’t honor their commitment. They re-scheduled me for Sunday between 10am-12pm and said someone would reach out if something came available on Saturday. I called their office Friday night and they said dispatch would call me shortly to push my scheduling up for Saturday. They never did.
Sunday rolls around and by 12:30pm no one had called or showed up. I called back to the office and they said dispatch would call me shortly. At 2pm I receive a call saying that “they had a technician call out sick and I would need to re-schedule.” Reschedule? Reschedule to a time when no one would show up again? Yeah right. They couldn’t have called me that morning to let me know so that I didn’t waste more time waiting for them? He said he was sorry and that a supervisor would reach out to me the next day (Monday). It’s Tuesday, and no one has reached out
I called their office again to try and escalate the situation to yet again another supervisor and/or office of finance. Britney said they would reach out to me first thing Monday morning. It’s Tuesday, and no one has reached out.
I took off hours from worked and moved around family time over the weekend to be available for them to fix the issues they promised to fix. Obviously, “more important and vital” calls means more $$$ and priority customers. Their excuse was that the recent winter storms (which were 2 weeks ago now) caused them backups in scheduling. Why would you schedule me in the first place if you’re backed up? And moreso, why would you accept new calls for service when you already scheduled me?
I’m lost time, money, and patience. Never EVER use this horrible company. I hope no one has the same worst-case experience with them and that as many people as possible are drawn away from doing business with Rescue Rooter by reading this review. Wish I could give negative stars.
This company was a life saver. Casey went above and beyond and made sure everything was good. He was very professional!! I would highly recommend them.
We had an excellent experience with this company. They were selected for us on behalf of Home Depot for an upstairs HVAC/furnace replacement. I had initially planned on receiving several quotes since I had researched thoroughly what a “fair price” was in our area. We had a salesman named Larry show up who was very professional and friendly. He took advantage of every rebate possible and got the overhaul price down to about $1,000 below local average plus included two free Nest Learning Thermostats. On the day of the installation ARS sent out two crews (a total of 5 workers). I can’t recall all of their names (Hector and Casey ring a bell). These guy had the job completely done in 3 hours and also took the time to thoroughly evaluate the airflow in each room to maximize it where we wanted it. I was very impressed with their eagerness to help and stay as long as necessary on a Saturday to make sure we were completely happy. Well done ARS, you will have my business for all heating & cooling needs + plumbing going forward.
Billy was very professional and explained everything clearly. I would definitely ask for Billy again.
Katrina was the tech & she was very knowledgeable & courteous. Used shoe covers when she came inside & always explained what she was doing in layman’s terms. Was competent & didn’t try to use technical terms to make me feel stupid. Was modest in her upselling and did not pressure me nor try to embarrass me into buying something else. Overall great experience.
Just when I thought that we were just going to have to deal with no AC/Heat for a while due to cost…Davey with ARS gave us a quote we just couldn’t turn down. So within just a day from receiving the quote we had a brand new HVAC unit installed. Davey was the greatest sales guy I have ever dealt with. We did not feel pressured at all and that was awesome. I highly recommend this company.
Alfred did a standard review of my unit I guess? I was approached at Home Depot about a great deal of $19 to have my AC unit check and he was very polite and very professional and gave me some great recommendations and I would definitely use them once I can afford to have these things done!
Found Thomas with ARS through new hot water install via Home Depot. Now have worked with him 2 more times since. Super helpful and now lifesaver! As my water and sewer lines back up into toilets and showers…No flooding thankfully. Next day they were able to get everything dug, replaced, flushed out, all the things. Would recommend him to anyone. Also very knowledge and patient when I asked my numerous first time home buyer questions
They were on time , very knowledgeable and professional. Made sure I got all the information I needed and made me felt comfortable to ask any questions. Will definitely use they’re service again if ever needed. Recommend 100%.
The technician was on time , courteous and professional. He took the time to explain what he suggested and why. He did not try to upsell , merely made suggestions since my system is 18 years old.
I had my kitchen facets and garbage disposal disconnected and reconnected due to counter tops installation. The you my man that reconnect d my plumbing was fantastic. We found this contractor via HomeDepot Home Improvement. Lukas arrived on time (plus) We recieved an affordable HVAC estimate (plus). Decision time!
We were having new counter tops put in and needed a plumber to come out and disconnect our disposal and faucets. Katy was very polite and courteous. She advised me of the process step by step. I appreciated her taking the time to insure that I was aware of the process. When the job was completed I was satisfied. Great Job Katy!
ARS technician, Alfred, arrived on-time, quickly diagnosed the problem with my HVAC, explained it thoroughly and answered my questions, and then repaired the malfunction. Excellent service!
Our garage was flooded and the folks at ARS came out the same day we called. We had such a wonderful experience with them. Katie did our estimate and was very thorough. Casey did the install and was extremely professional and helpful. He really went above and beyond for us. We were worried about a repeat failure, so he took extra steps to ensure it wouldn’t happen again. Their customer service really made our day!

Everyone at ARS was fantastic. From the first callback to the estimate to the installation of my tankless water heater. They gave me estimates on the traditional water heater and tankless. Didn’t push one over the other but gave me the pros and cons for both. They were fast— did the installation the next day. I would highly recommend them.
My water heater finally died after 17 years of use. I was able to schedule a free estimate through Home Depot just before midnight for the following morning. Jason with ARS came the day after and did an excellent job taking out my old unit and putting the new one in. He was very thorough with the work and explained all the features on the new unit. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with! Everyone I spoke to with ARS had great customer service! I hope not to call them in the near future, but will definitely be using ARS from now on.
Shatavius was awesome. Arrived early, perform task in a timely fashion, informed me of other services and benefits and was very personable, prompt and professional.
Casey was absolutely amazing! He was very kind and professional. He was thorough with everything he did and made sure that everything was working correctly before leaving. He worked so hard to ensure that we had running water again. I would highly recommend this company just because of him. He even stayed calm when the woman at the water company didn’t want to listen to what either of us had to say, and just blamed “the plumber”. Even though he was the one talking to her, and the issue truly was on the water company’s end.
Michelle serviced our HVAC unit today and did a great job! I’ve been meaning to change the return air filter for awhile, but for various reasons I kept putting it off. She explained that overdue air filter changes can negatively impact the life of the blower motor. Our unit is fairly new so I wasn’t expecting any major issues. Still I was impressed that Michelle took readings on everything from the microfarads on the “flux” capacitor to how many Amps the compressor and the fan were pulling! Of course she checked the Freon pressure as well. I had initially scheduled service for Wednesday, but it had slipped my mind and I rescheduled for Thursday (today). That process was smooth other than the lady that called to confirm service for Wednesday ended the call too abruptly. I didn’t give her my life story, but I did explain that I’d inadvertently made other appointments for the day. It is maybe a dying art, but so important to have that human connection over the phone! They shouldn’t just end a call by saying we’ll call before we come out tomorrow and then basically hang up the phone! What should’ve happened is she should have thanked me or at least asked me if I had any other questions or concerns. Something, anything other than just ending the call. All things considered I had a good experience with ARS / Rescue Rooter. It was Michelle that really sealed the deal though.
