We do not have a complex formula of why we have continued to grow with leaps and bounds. This company started with one single man running service out of his truck to provide for his family.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER AND CEO, WHIT GREENWAY

Whit Greenway, the CEO of Greenway Home Services, started as a service technician in Memphis in 1978. As a young man, his knowledge of the trade, as well as his people skills, set him up for success early in his career. He showed up when he said he was going to, always did what he said he would, and never made promises he could not keep.

THE BEST HOME SERVICES COMPANY IN MEMPHIS

After the company he worked for was sold to a large corporation, Whit’s position as service manager was terminated. With a wife and two little girls to provide for, it did not take Whit long to weigh his options. He quickly decided to open his own company, Home Care Services, in the fall of 1989. By constantly treating his customers how he wanted to be treated, and with years of experience, Whit Greenway grew his company into one of the Mid South’s largest service providers.

Today, Home Care Services operates under the name Greenway Home Services, but customers new and old remember the young man that started it all. Our team is constantly trained to be able to not only be the best at their trade skill but to keep performing the Greenway philosophy. As we Southerners like to say, the proof is in the pudding.

New UPDATE: Johnathan, the service manager came out on Friday, 2/12/21 and re- looked at the heating unit. He repaired it so that I could have heat Friday night with a promise to be back Saturday to fully replace a part. He did as he said and my unit is running GREAT. I’m so grateful for him and the general manager that offered me a hotel room should my unit not work properly before the final repairs could get done. I appreciate how they took care of me despite the mishap that occurred Thursday. I’ll definitely recommend them to others. 2/11/21:They came out to repair my heating issue but it wasn’t fixed correctly. Therefore, I am forced to be without heat until the next day that someone can come out. So far this week is supposed to be the coldest. I am disappointed because this unit is less than a year old and still under warranty.

I was having issues with my toilet so they sent out their plumber Dustin. He was on time, professional, and very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and left me with a working toilet. Can’t say enough about the service he provided! I am a very happy customer! I will be asking for him specifically if I have any future plumbing issues.

I was having problems with my water heater, Dustin came out and fixed it no problem! He was very personable, professional, on time and explained everything to me rather than just coming in, working and leaving. I recommend everyone ask for Dustin for any plumbing issues, i’ll never allow anyone else now!

Greenway diagnosed and repaired my Samsung refrigerator drainage problem. Darrell and Nathan were professional and courteous, knowledgeable and prompt. I appreciated the courtesy calls to let me know when they would arrive and how to prepare for the repair. Highly recommend.

Our technician Chris Ayers was excellent! He found 3 problems for us and easily and promptly fixed all the issues we had with our heating unit. He noticed there was a gas leak and he repaired it. He also determined the blower motor was no longer functioning and the capacitor was blown and he got everything in good working order in a very time efficient manner. He had a great personality, was very professional and helped us to understand what the problems were and made us feel confident that they have been properly repaired. Our service was top notch and we will definitely request Chris again! Thanks so much! 😉

My household in Franklin flooded 3 weeks ago and the waters knocked my unit off of the stand it was on causing it to work very poorly. I have only lived in Franklin for about a year and a half and have never had any issue out of my system. When I moved in the home inspector told me I had a top of the line system with a 10 year warranty. Sadly when the claims adjuster came to my house he let me know that the manufacturer wouldn’t cover flood damage. Cry no tears for me argentina because he also let me know that it was completely covered. Since, I have never had to call a company in town for ac repairs I didn’t know who to turn too. Luckily down the street from me one of my neighbors was using a company and seemed happy with them. I called the number on the truck and 1 hour later Keith (w/ greenway) showed up. He gave me an a to z system check taking me through a process he called a load calculation? Long story shorter, I took my mack daddy unit from 2009 and upgraded to the 2021 model. Equipment warranty was the best I could google and the labor warranty was the same after I signed up for a ten year maintenance. On Saturday they sent Justin and Kevin to my home to install the unit. Both of them were polite and professional. They wore makes and shoe covers inside my home and were aware of my flight risk cats escaping. The condenser they installed looks as good if not better than the one before and though I have not seen my energy savings yet ( it has been 3 days), the sleep I have got from the silent action has been a god send. ( My old unitade lots of noise when running and woke my new born; therefore, waking me I would recommend GREENWAY!!!

I would like to personally acknowledge Caleb Miller, for his Exceptional External Customer Service as well as His expedient and professional mannerisms in handling my plumbing problems today. I’ve previously used Greenway, but Caleb is an Exceptional standard of an employee. He even offered other services offered by greenway for me to consider to help in maintaining my home. Thanks Caleb for a GREAT Experience!! He was worth the wait, I just wish it didn’t take a week to add me to your work order requests. Other than that this was a Great Experience!

Kendall Talley with Greenway is the best! I’ve had a problem with my heat shutting down periodically during very cold temperatures, but starting up again after 8 or so hours. The company that had been servicing my equipment for years kept telling me straight line winds were shutting it down, but it would happen on days I was sure there were no winds. Without going into detail, Kendall figured out the problem and it wasn’t winds. He took the time to sit in the crawl space and monitor what was happening so he could figure it out. Because the problem occurred during the confluence of several factors, it really took good detective work and patience. And, I love that Greenway will send out repair people 7 days a week because invariably problems occur on Fridays. The other company I was using only worked weekdays. The people who schedule the service are very nice and accommodating as well. And, finally Greenway guarantees the work for longer than the other company I had been using, which is a great assurance.

Our AC wasn’t acting right and we went through our home warranty. Jordan came out on Saturday to take a look and did everything he could (probably about 2 hours of work if not more) and nothing helped. He let me know next steps. Unfortunately it was too hot in our home and I had to call and leave a message to know next steps. But come Monday morning at 8:42 am, we were receiving a call from home office to schedule a project manager to visit our home sams day. Cody came out, looked at what was going on. He sat down and went over all our options. Once we decided what was best for our budget, we texted him with our decision. Within 20 minutes, if that, we got a call letting us know they would be out the next day. YES!! They guys got here at 11 and worked NON. STOP. until the project was completed at 8:42 PM. that’s right P. M. They never once complained and worked their tales off to continue our services and get us back in a comfortable house again. We offered water/Gatorade/snacks and they took very few if any because their mind set was to “get this done for you correctly and effectively”. We could not be happier with the dedication these three men showed tonight to get our home back to normal. If you have ANY concerns, call these guys!! THANK YOU GREENWAY!!!

I would highly recommend Greenway to everyone. I had my HVAC unit die at the end of 2020. I had 2 companies come out to quote me. The first company was not super helpful, and tried to up sale me the entire time. Greenway rep was knowledgeable, helpful, and made sure I got the best set up for the best cost. Highly Highly Recommended.
